Description:
xmlSidekick is a Java application used to enter, edit, and display QuickBooks information in a spreadsheet style. In addition, xmlSidekick can store and retrieve supplemental information in optional databases. If you currently use QuickBooks, our spreadsheet interface will make some transactions easier to input. If you use QuickBooks and also enter information into other programs or spreadsheets, you can use xmlSidekick as a one-point data entry. If you have considered QuickBooks in the past, but it did not satisfy all of your needs, xmlSidekick may allow QuickBooks to accomplish those needs.
Example of using xmlSidekick:
Entering multiple AR or AP entries into one transaction
Use a database for inventory (allows LIFO, FIFO or specific identification)
Information entered into QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheet at the same time
Load data into QuickBooks and Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL at the same time
xmlSidekick uses Intuit's qbXML technology to interact with QuickBooks. qbXML uses a request and response system to interact with QuickBooks. These requests and responses must be in a correct XML format. xmlSidekick handles all of the XML conversion. All the user has to do is configure the xmlSidekick and xmlSidekick does the rest.
It is intelligent enough to show which columns are required, which are available, and which are mutually exclusive for each transaction type.
xmlSidekick makes it easier for your accounting system to fit your business, instead of changing your business to fit your accounting system.
